Who We Are

We know silicone.

Specialty Manufacturing Inc. started in our family’s home in 1979. While working in the silicone industry at Dow Corning, we saw an opportunity to manufacture small-run and custom silicone parts. SMI grew rapidly and in 1986 we moved to our current location in Saginaw, Michigan, where we deliver the latest in silicone manufacturing technology.

With 40-plus years of experience, a commitment to deep quality, and deep knowledge of the industry, our team of silicone experts are equipped to deliver innovative solutions to our customers. We offer unique expertise in bonding silicone to metal and plastic, and are exploring new applications with silicone molding and bonding in the LED Lighting industry. In 2017, we launched an e-commerce service to provide off-the-shelf sheeting and tubing.

We are passionate about delivering small parts that make a big impact, and we are committed to being leaders in the silicone manufacturing industry.
