PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Content Writer and Strategist          

We have a confession. We named this position just for search engine purposes and to make sure you found this job post! What we really mean when we say “content strategist” is this: We’re seeking a words engineer, a keeper of brand messaging, and ultimately … the next queen or king of content (no pressure!).

This position is for passionate, fearless, and energetic individuals who believe great stories deserve to be heard and have a knack for telling them.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop brand story documentation and style guides for RC clients

  • Work on multiple client accounts to develop copy for emails, web ads, billboards, print ads, and more

  • Work with Strategy team to develop brand positioning recommendations for new clients

  • Provide designers and web developers with copy direction for various projects

  • Brainstorm creative concepts for monthly/quarterly/yearly digital campaigns

  • Partner with our SEO/PPC specialist to conduct keyword and SEO research

  • Proof and edit copy for various projects before sending to client for review

  • Help manage content on Red Caffeine.com and contribute to the agency’s blog

  • Monitor content performance using data tools like Google Analytics  (e.g. conversions and bounce rates)

  • Write clickable and open-worthy email marketing content

  • Stay on top of the latest trends in digital marketing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communication or related field of study

  • Must have beyond average writing skills and the ability to come up with creative concepts

  • Good technical knowledge of content management and email marketing software

  • Holds creative/marketing agency experience

  • Understanding of on-page SEO and keyword research

  • Experience in crafting compelling email copy for email marketing campaigns

  • How to navigate online metrics tools, such as Google Analytics

  • Values align with RC’s Core Values
